For those of us who were delighted by the stand-alone movies Rogue One and Solo, some disappointing news has been released by Collider. Sources with knowledge of the on-going situation informed Collider that Lucasfilm has put all efforts and plans for future spin-off films on hold. This comes after the disappointing box office performance of Solo: A Star Wars Story, which we've reported on and analyzed, which doubtlessly played into the big decision by Lucasfilm.
Many were excited by news of an Obi-Wan Kenobi film and Boba Fett film being in the works. But it looks like patience will be key. For now, fans will have to hope that the increased focus on the forthcoming Episode IX and Rian Johnson's trilogy will pay off.
